David Crane is Special Advisor to the Governor for Jobs and Economic Growth.

Before joining the Schwarzenegger Administration, Crane was a partner for 25 years with Babcock & Brown, an investment/merchant bank that grew from five employees in one office when he joined in 1979 to more than 400 people in 18 offices around the world when he retired in 2003. A graduate of the University of Michigan and the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Crane lives with his wife and two children in San Francisco.
